CGIRB’s Quality Management Director featured in IRB Advisor article
Copernicus Group IRB Quality Management Director Yvonne Higgins was featured in the May 2012 edition of IRB Advisor.
IRB Advisor is an accredited monthly publication providing comprehensive, practical and authoritative information in areas such as current regulatory activities, informed consent and administrative and management issues.
The article focuses on how IRB offices can educate clinical research teams to improve the overall program and highlights the key attributes involved in a strong human research protection program, including the ability to optimize its resources and ideas on educating IRB and clinical research staff.
Higgins offered several suggestions including asking for ideas from peers in the IRB world, encouraging IRB staff to attend department meetings, writing newsletters to reach a large group and inviting researchers to an IRB meeting.
