CGIRB will provide sponsorship of an Orange County Aging program entitled, "What Will Happen to Me?", addressing end of life issues involving developmentally disabled individuals. Karen Macklin, an original CGIRB IRB member, serves on the program committee.

04/27/08 – CGIRB will be sponsoring the Fifth Annual Race of Grace. This is a 5K road race organized to bring focus to three areas of need in our community healthcare, homelessness and hunger.

04/08 – Michael Hill, CGIRB Director, will lead a group of individuals in Alabama in April. In their third year of volunteer work this group will rebuild a home destroyed by hurricane. CGIRB has provided financial assistance for this disaster relief project since 2005.

02/01/08 – CGIRB has contributed to the UNC Dance Marathon, a student services organization that raises money for the UNC Children's Hospital that help families deal with the costs associated with having a hospitalized child.

01/01/08 – CGIRB has made a sizable financial contribution to the UNC Morehead Planetarium to assist with the purchase of a portable planetarium unit to be used during the renovation of the main planetarium projector. CGIRB is a corporate sponsor of the current interactive exhibit at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center entitled Zoom In: Science at the Extremes.

12/07 – Salvation Army Angel Tree at the CGIRB Corporate Office. Also, Share the Warmth, a program aimed at assisting those in need with heating and utility bills, was the beneficiary of a check from a contribution from CGIRB in December 2007. Steven Hill, President of the Harrisonburg Rockingham Board of Realtors and a CGIRB Director, presented the check to the Salvation Army in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

09/16/07 – Me Fine Foundation, Inc. - CGIRB is a proud Bronze Sponsor of the 2nd Annual Southern Ladies Purse Gala for the Me Fine Foundation.
